Fleximize: how it works and what it costs
Term loans of £10,000 to £1,000,000 with top-ups, repayment holidays and no early repayment fees.
How it works
Fleximize offers two term loans. The Flexiloan runs from 12 to 60 months and is for businesses that have been trading for at least 12 months. The Flexiloan Lite runs from 3 to 12 months and is open from 6 months' trading. Both lend between £10,000 and £1,000,000.
You apply online, and Fleximize says it can make a decision in as little as 24 hours. Treat that as a best case rather than a guarantee, so leave yourself room if you need the money by a fixed date.
Pricing is quoted per month, not per year. The Flexiloan charges 0.9% to 2.9% per month. The Lite charges 1.9% to 3.9% per month. To get a rough yearly figure, multiply by 12. So 2.9% a month works out at about 34.8% a year before compounding, and even the cheapest rate of 0.9% a month is about 10.8% a year. Rates may also vary in line with the Bank of England base rate or SONIA, so ask whether your rate is fixed before you sign.
If you are approved, you repay in monthly instalments. Two things come as standard on both loans: top-ups, which let you apply to borrow more part-way through, and repayment holidays, which let you pause repayments for an agreed period.
There are no early repayment fees. Fleximize calls this its Penalty-Free Promise. Repay early and you pay interest only for the time you had the loan. On a loan priced by the month, that matters. Clear it sooner and the interest simply stops.
Both loans come in unsecured and secured versions. Secured borrowing puts named assets on the line. Unsecured borrowing does not, but commercial lenders commonly ask directors to sign a personal guarantee instead. Our guide to unsecured vs secured business loans explains the trade-off.
What it really costs
Fleximize quotes its rates by the month: 0.9% to 2.9% per month on the Flexiloan and 1.9% to 3.9% per month on the Flexiloan Lite. Monthly rates always look smaller than they are. Multiply by 12 for a rough yearly cost: the Flexiloan range is about 10.8% to 34.8% a year before compounding, and the Lite range is about 22.8% to 46.8% a year.
Fleximize publishes a representative example on its apply page. At the time of checking it read: "41.1% APR representative, based on a fixed annual rate of interest of 34.9% and an assumed loan amount of £15,000 over 18 months. This equates to monthly repayments of £1,082.20 and a total repayable of £19,479.60."
In plain English: borrow £15,000 for 18 months and you repay £19,479.60, so the borrowing costs £4,479.60. A representative example is meant to reflect what a typical accepted borrower pays, so treat 41.1% APR as the realistic starting point. The 0.9% a month headline is the floor, not the norm.
Two features affect the real cost. Rates may vary in line with the Bank of England base rate or SONIA, so your repayments could move. And there are no early repayment fees: clear the loan early and you pay interest only for the time you had it, which can cut the total bill sharply.

Who can apply
- At least 6 months' trading for the Flexiloan Lite
- At least 12 months' trading for the Flexiloan
- Borrowing between £10,000 and £1,000,000
- Security is optional: both unsecured and secured versions are offered
Good for
- Businesses that may need more money later, because top-ups come as standard
- Seasonal trades, because repayment holidays are built into both loans
- Borrowers planning to repay early, since there are no early repayment fees
- Younger businesses, as the Flexiloan Lite needs only 6 months' trading
Watch out for
- Monthly rates flatter the price. 2.9% a month is roughly 34.8% a year before compounding, and the Lite tops out near 46.8%.
- The representative APR is 41.1%. The 0.9% a month headline is the floor, not what a typical accepted borrower pays.
- Rates may vary in line with the Bank of England base rate or SONIA. Ask whether yours is fixed before you sign.
- There is no FCA statement on Fleximize's website. This is unregulated commercial lending, with fewer formal protections if things go wrong.
- A decision in as little as 24 hours is a best case, not a promise. Build in slack if you need the money by a fixed date.
How Fleximize compares
Fleximize's pitch is flexibility on a proper term loan, with top-ups, repayment holidays and penalty-free early repayment as standard. If you would rather dip in and out than take a lump sum, iwoca runs a credit line where you only pay for what you draw. If your business is established and price is the priority, it is worth putting Funding Circle's term loans next to Fleximize's 41.1% representative APR before deciding. For very short terms, Capify is another name at the short end of the market.

Common questions
How fast is a Fleximize decision?
Fleximize says it can make a lending decision in as little as 24 hours. That is a best case, not a promise. If you need funds by a fixed date, apply early and ask for a realistic timeline.
What is the difference between the Flexiloan and the Flexiloan Lite?
The Flexiloan runs 12 to 60 months, needs at least 12 months' trading, and charges 0.9% to 2.9% per month. The Flexiloan Lite runs 3 to 12 months, needs just 6 months' trading, and costs more, at 1.9% to 3.9% per month. Both lend £10,000 to £1,000,000 and both include top-ups and repayment holidays as standard.
Can I repay a Fleximize loan early?
Yes, and there are no early repayment fees. Fleximize calls this its Penalty-Free Promise. You pay interest only for the time you had the loan, so repaying early cuts the total cost.
Does Fleximize ask for a personal guarantee?
Fleximize offers both unsecured and secured loans, but the pages we checked do not spell out its personal guarantee policy. Commercial lenders commonly ask company directors to guarantee unsecured loans personally. Ask the question directly before you sign, and get the answer in writing. Our guide to personal guarantees explains what signing one means.
Is Fleximize regulated by the FCA?
There was no FCA statement on Fleximize's website when we checked, and we make no claim of FCA status for it. It lends as an unregulated commercial lender. Business lending often sits outside FCA regulation, but it does mean fewer formal protections if things go wrong.
Can I borrow more once the loan has started?
Yes. Top-ups come as standard on both the Flexiloan and the Flexiloan Lite, so you can apply to increase your borrowing part-way through. The overall range is £10,000 to £1,000,000.
Regulation and status
At the time of checking there was no FCA statement on Fleximize's website (the companies behind it are Alterium Limited, Fleximize Limited and Fleximize Capital Limited). This is unregulated commercial lending, and we make no claim of FCA status for Fleximize.
Fleximize runs an affiliate scheme and an introducer scheme for partners. FundSpeed may join them. This never changes what we write. Facts checked on 7 September 2026 against the sources below. Spotted a change? Tell us and we will fix it.
